A Short Hiatus

Don't you just love that face? This is my adorable, adorable little girl, M. My husband and I are loving spending every spare moment we can with her. We are also in the process of moving (possibly not for the last time in the next year - it really makes my head hurt), and restructuring our life again since we just found out that we are going to be expecting another addition to our family towards the end of next summer! Oh my gosh! So much is going on, that I need a little break.

A break to get my head in order. To get my spiritual life back on track. To spend some time with my loved ones. To get some sleep.

But I won't be gone forever! I promise! Look for me in the new year, and I will return.

Until then, happy scrapping!

"Midnight Romance" @ DD!

I just released a new kit, called "Midnight Romance"! I wanted to design something with a sophisticated style and color scheme, and I think I succeeded! It's dark, mysterious, and has just a little bit of flash.



I also made glitter sheets/styles to go along with it, and a set of rub-on word art pieces.

NEW - Paint Your World Collab w/Cindy Ritter!

This last month I have had a wonderful opportunity - I got to collaborate with another designer! I have never done this before and I have to say it was a great learning experience! Cindy Ritter (of Cindy Ritter's Scraps) is a fabulous designer, and I am very proud to share our creation with you.



This kit is called "Paint Your World". It's funky, colorful, and creative. :) Cindy and I decided we wanted to try our hands at an Art Journal style kit (if you aren't sure what that is, have some google images, on me). This kit is perfect for scrapping about your latest hybrid creations, or your children's refrigerator art, or even the flowers in your garden! There is so much in it, it's hard to find something you CAN'T scrap with this kit! :)

This kit will be the August Challenge Completion Prize at Divine Digital, and after that, who knows? There is talk of Cindy and I possibly opening a collab store at Divine to sell it in. The sky is the limit! :)

Sad News and Good News

Unfortunately, as most of you (readers) will know at this point, Enchanted Studio Scraps decided unexpectedly last weekend to close their doors for good. I am extremely saddened by the loss of that tight-knit community, which was well on it's way to becoming my internet home-away-from-home. This, obviously, means that my plans to open a store at ESS this summer aren't going to come to fruition. That's the bad news.



The good news is that I will instead be opening my store next week at Divine Digital. I am very excited to make this move, as DD has graciously absorbed several ESS designers and many of it's dedicated posters. Visiting the DD forums this week has kind of been like coming home - with so many familiar faces introducing themselves.

The other good news is that I will be continuing to work on Robyn Pali's Creative Team - which just this week with the move to Divine Digital was combined with Rachel (of My 4 Princesses Designs)'s Creative Team. So now I will be creating layouts for two designers! :D



And, last but definitely not least, as if my life was not blessed, full, and busy enough, on Friday June 3rd at 9:28PM I had the honor of finally getting to welcome my little girl - Margaret Hazel - into the world. She weighed 7lbs. 14oz. and measured 20 3/4" long. She has a full head of dark hair, and gray eyes (that I hope turn blue like her Daddy's). I am so very in awe of my tiny little daughter, and enjoy every minute I spend with her (even though she is sometimes heavy and sometimes fussy and sometimes stinky - as babies are wont to be).

Boys Day Out Sampler

Hello, all. :) Just another freebie post here.

Has anyone else noticed how heavily angled the scrapbooking community is towards girls? Most of the kits I see are more suitable for pages about girls than boys, and I've heard from several friends that they would love to see more "Boy" kits out there. So, I've taken their advice! This sampler is a preview of a kit that I am working on to be released at Enchanted Studio Scraps later this summer, called "Boy's Day Out". It also happens to be my entry in the Digi Scraps Drive-In April color challenge. :) Way to knock out two things with one color palette, huh?

Anyway, without further ado, here is the sampler kit - please, if you like it, comment and tell me what kinds of elements you would like to see included in the full kit when it's released in a couple months!
